Patmos has it all-that’s why it’s maybe the most unique, mesmerizing, beautiful island of them all, in Greece. The blinding white of the Cyclades (what if makes part of the Dodecanese ?), the strange light of the monastery of Apocalypse (yet it’s definitely not a religious destination), the aristocratic spirit of the Saronic islands (preferred by the greek captains, too) and the oriental, noble flair of the Ionic coast…
It was inevitable for Patmos to develop an architecture similar to this character. White cubes covered by stucco are creating inside alleys that are opening, on their turn, to bigger patios through grandiose arches. In the interior, the built and fix stone furniture are combined perfectly with the important, sophisticated wooden ones.
